In Section 32 of the Hadiqat al-Haqiqah, Sanai presents the allegory of Majnun releasing a gazelle from a snare because its beautiful eyes remind him of Layla. This story illustrates the Sufi concept that a true lover perceives the beauty of the Beloved (the Divine) in all of creation. Because the gazelle reflects a feature of his beloved, Majnun shows it mercy and releases it. Through this narrative, Sanai teaches that spiritual love (Ishq) transforms the seeker's relationship with the world, leading to selfless compassion and the recognition of Divine traces in nature.
