The Allegory of the Almsgiver and His Son in Hadiqat al-Haqiqah
In Section 11 of the Hadiqat al-Haqiqah, Sanai uses the story of a father giving away his wealth to illustrate the spiritual significance of charity (zakat) and trust in God (tawakkul). When the son complains about the loss of his inheritance, the father reassures him that wealth given to the needy is deposited in God's eternal treasury, where it is multiplied seventy-fold. Through this narrative, Sanai instructs seekers to overcome greed and understand that worldly hoarding leads to spiritual poverty, whereas mystical charity leads to divine compensation.
