Section 11 - The Allegory regarding a People Who Pay the Alms

Original content

English translation

A generous, noble man, in front of his son, Gave away several thousand bags of gold. When his son saw the father's generosity, His tongue became sharp in criticizing and blaming his father. He said, 'Father, where is my share?' He said to him, 'O son, it is in the treasury of He (God).' 'Your portion, without any executor or partner, I gave to God, and He will return it to you.' 'Since He is our provider and Lord, Is He not sufficient for our faith and our worldly affairs?' 'He is none other than the nurturer of souls; He will not do you injustice, He is not of those who oppress.' 'For each one He returns seventy-fold; When He closes one door upon you, He opens ten.'
