Section 49 - On Dreaming of Predatory Beasts

Original content

English translation

A lion is a dominant and proud enemy, Whose actions are far from courtesy. An elephant represents a king, but with majesty, Everyone is fearful of that power. A partridge is beneficial in every way; There is nothing to add to the master's word. A deer is mostly interpreted as relating to women's households, O elder of knowledge. A leopard is an evil-doing enemy, Who is deceitful in dealings. A tiger is also considered an enemy; Thus they have written in the book. A bear is an enemy full of treachery and a thief, From whose sight you will receive no reward. The cheetah, hyena, wolf, and fox, Are each malevolent enemies. And although the fox is cunning, If you see it dead, it is even worse. If you see a snake, it is a spiteful enemy; And if it targets you, it is worse for you. The scorpion, spider, and other insects, All are among the afflictions. A dog in a dream is an oppressor, But when awake, it is a watchman.
