آتش و باد و آب و خاک و فلک
ز برش عقل و جان میانه ملک

خرد و جان و صورت مطلق
همه از امر دان و امر از حق

اوست بیرنگ و مایهٔ پرگار
نعمت و شکر و شکرگوی نگار

کرده در راه ناجوانمردان
در هوا شمع و شمعدان گردان

کرده در شه ره معاش و معاد
فعل و قوت قرین کون و فساد

قدرتش کرده در جهان سخن
قوتی را به فعلی آبستن

هرچه آید به فعل پایش را
هرچه در قوتست زایش را

English translation

Fire and wind and water and earth and the celestial sphere, Above them intellect and soul, in the midst the angels. Intellect, soul, and absolute form— Know them all to be from the Command, and the Command is from the Truth. He is colorless and the source of the compass, The blessing, the gratitude, and the grateful beloved. He has made, in the path of the unchivalrous, The candle and the candlestick rotating in the air. He has made, in the highway of worldly life and the hereafter, Actuality and potentiality paired with generation and decay. His power has made, in the world of speech, Every potentiality pregnant with an actuality. Whatever comes into action, its footing is established, And whatever is in potential, its birth is destined.
