It warns seekers against relying solely on sudden, emotional enthusiasm (shawq) without the necessary spiritual discipline, patience, and preparation required to endure the arduous journey of self-refinement. Jami highlights that the path to divine proximity cannot be bypassed in a single bound; premature zeal without maturity inevitably leads to failure and retreat.
