The Allegory of the Guarded Prince and Spiritual Vigilance in Hadiqat al-Haqiqah

In Section 33 of Hadiqat al-Haqiqah, Sanai presents the allegory of a royal prince who is constantly watched by loyal servants, tutors, and chamberlains. This parable illustrates the concept of spiritual discipline and vigilance (muraqabah). Just as the prince is prevented from indulging in idle play and vanity to prepare him for his future kingdom, the human soul must undergo rigorous self-restraint and guidance under the intellect and divine law to remain worthy of its ultimate spiritual inheritance.
