When they reach the mouse's exceedingly narrow hole, the absurdity is exposed: the house cannot grow larger nor the camel smaller, so no companionship or shared dwelling between them is possible. The lesson urges the reader to lighten the load of greed and covetousness, and warns against ambitions and pretensions that vastly exceed one's true capacity.
