The Balance of Divine Witnessing and Contemplation in Quranic Recitation in Jami's Silsilat al-Dhahab

In Silsilat al-Dhahab (from Jami's Haft Awrang), a dual spiritual strategy for reciting the Quran is presented. When a reader achieves spiritual witnessing (mushahadah) and tranquility by focusing on the Divine Speaker, they should remain in this intuitive, unified state without analyzing specific linguistic details. If this state fades and distracting thoughts arise, they should transition to active contemplation (tadabbur) of the text's deeper meanings in accordance with Shariah and Sunnah to dispel distractions and restore focus.
