• The Tresses (زلف): Represent the captivating and overwhelming majesty of the Beloved. The tresses 'take away souls' and cast them across the worlds like dust, symbolizing the destructive trial and bewilderment experienced by the lover.
• The Ruby Lips (لب لعل): Represent the life-giving grace and mercy of the Beloved. The lips 'restore the soul' and remove bewilderment even from the heavens, signifying spiritual salvation and the revival of the soul.

This duality highlights the Sufi paradox of divine love, where the Beloved simultaneously annihilates the seeker's ego and restores their spiritual existence.
