The Dismissal of the Envoy and the Great Mobilization in Section 49 of the Khosrow Nameh

In Section 49 of the Khosrow Nameh, the King of Ispahan reacts with anger and contempt upon reading Caesar's letter. He insults the sender as foolish and dismisses the envoy with humiliation. Upon receiving news of this insult, Khosrow and Caesar gather an immense army to march toward Ispahan. Attar describes this military mobilization with classical epic hyperbole, comparing the endless numbers of troops to the leaves of trees, the sands of the desert, and the crowds gathered on the Day of Resurrection, filling the entire landscape so densely that not even a needle can find space.
