The Divine Gift of Measured Speech and the Invisible Scale of the Sound Poetic Nature in Jami's Section 18 Supplication

In Section 18, Jami gives thanks for the blessing of measured speech (سخن موزون) and frames the poet's craft as a divine gift. The sound poetic nature (طبع سلیم) weighs discourse to separate the sound (صحیح) from the flawed (سقیم), yet this balance has neither a visible scale nor a hand — God alone grants the disposition its scale and the strength of its arm. Jami then turns this gift toward its purpose: producing proofs (برهان) of the Creator, arguing that seeing the effect of the craft (صنع) is easy, so failing to reach the Craftsman (صانع) through it is ignorance.
