The Factory System

The factory system was a new method of manufacturing that emerged during the Industrial Revolution, characterized by the concentration of production in a single location. It utilized machinery, often powered by water or steam, and a division of labor among a large number of workers. This system replaced the domestic system of production and was fundamental to the mass production of goods.
