In Chapter 11, Poem 10 of his Mokhtar Nameh, Farid al-Din Attar emphasizes the insufficiency of mere theoretical or esoteric knowledge. The poem asserts that even if a seeker discovers the 'secret of the two worlds', this information is ultimately useless if they have not cultivated authentic spiritual vision. Without transformative realization, the individual will still die among the 'unaware' rather than joining the ranks of the truly 'insightful' or 'clear-sighted'. Attar warns that intellectual attainment without inner awakening leaves one spiritually impoverished at the moment of death.
