Concept
The Inevitability and Spiritual Perception of Death in Sanai's Hadiqat al-Haqiqah
In Section 6 of the Hadiqat al-Haqiqah, Sanai discusses the inevitability of death and how it is spiritually perceived. He asserts that while death destroys duplicity, the spiritually pure or 'single-colored' (yek-rang) have no fear of it. Sanai depicts human life as a continuous journey toward death, where every breath represents a step. Furthermore, he emphasizes that observing the death of others serves as the ultimate moral sermon and reminder of mortality.
