In this Baharestan anecdote a Bedouin promises two camels as the reward for the return of the single camel he has lost. Bystanders object that the surcharge exceeds the whole load, but he answers that those who have never felt the delight of recovering a lost thing cannot judge such a bargain. The closing verse insists that even a trivial lost object should not be belittled, and that the sweetness of finding surpasses the mere value of what is found.
