In Chapter 6, Poem 66 of Attar's Mokhtar Nameh, the atom (ذره - zarreh) and the sun (آفتاب - aftab) are employed as central metaphysical metaphors. The poem explores the transformative unveiling of the divine, wherein the heart is 'ruined' or overwhelmed by the true nature of every atom. Upon the lifting of the veil of phenomenal existence, the mystic vision perceives a hundred divine suns radiating from within a single, seemingly insignificant atom.
