In Section 91 of his Haft Awrang, Jami presents a profound ontological exposition of the divine name Allah drawing on Akbarian metaphysics. He explains that while each specific determination (ta'ayyun) of the Divine Essence (Dhat) corresponds to a particular Attribute (Sifat) and Name (Ism), the name Allah represents the 'Comprehensive Name' (Ism al-Jami') because it encompasses all determinations in their entirety.

Furthermore, Jami connects this supreme name to the doctrine of the Perfect Human (al-Insan al-Kamil). He states that the beginning and end of the Quran are explanations of human perfection. Since the Perfect Man is the ultimate locus of manifestation (mazhar) for the Comprehensive Name, he represents both the 'first in thought' (as the final cause of creation) and the 'last in action' in the cosmic hierarchy.
