Concept
The Path of Signlessness (Bi-Nishani)
In Attar's mystical framework, particularly in Chapter 10 of the Mokhtar Nameh, the 'path of signlessness' (bi-nishani) refers to a state of absolute spiritual transcendence. In this state, a seeker sheds all worldly attributes, forms, and traces of the individual ego. Reaching this unmanifested reality is a prerequisite for attaining baqa (eternal subsistence in the Divine), as one cannot abide in God while retaining attachments to personal identity, attributes, or earthly signs.
