The Reciprocal Relationship Between Voting Power and Labor Legislation

In a democratic system, workers can leverage their voting power to influence economic outcomes. By collectively lobbying and promising their votes to supportive political parties, they create a causal link between their political rights and their employment contracts. Reciprocally, a government may agree to implement new labor laws, such as those demanded by the farmworkers, motivated by the desire to secure these votes in future elections.
