Jami represents Khosrow as a root and Shiruyeh as a branch nourished by it. By killing his father, Shiruyeh resembles a branch that uproots the source of its own life: although it briefly gains open space, it soon becomes dry, fruitless, and fallen. The allegory presents parricide and dynastic usurpation as inherently self-destructive, making Shiruyeh's violence the cause of his own ruin.
