The Ruler as the Moral Foundation of Society in Sanai's Hadiqat

In Section 10 of the Hadiqat al-Haqiqah, Sanai asserts that the moral character and justice of a ruler directly determine the ethical state of their subjects. Using the metaphor of a foundation and its shadow (payeh and sayeh), he explains that a corrupt leader inevitably casts a crooked shadow, causing wickedness and oppression to spread among the people.
