The Simplifying Assumption of Perfect Screening in the Labour Discipline Model

While in reality it is difficult for firms to accurately assess whether a job applicant will be a diligent worker, the simple labour discipline model makes a simplifying assumption. It assumes that the firm can screen applicants perfectly, meaning it can flawlessly identify and make offers only to those candidates who are likely to work hard.
