In the study the subjects either read a one passage or six passage paper that presented a target concept, followed by a negated correction, replacement correction, or no correction at all. An example would be that the target concept is a blue car, the negated correction would be “the car is not blue”, a replacement correction would state “the car is red” and no correction would leave the statement as is.
