The Suspension of Cosmic Time and Unity of Eternity in Attar's Mokhtar Nameh (Poem 82)

In Poem 82 of Attar's Mokhtar Nameh, the poet explores the mystical relativity of space and time. By shifting to a transcendent perspective, immense cosmic scales and durations are reduced to a mere moment. The poem asserts that when the 'circle' of cosmic rotation ceases, the mystic experiences the absolute unity of time, where pre-eternity (azal) and post-eternity (abad) become completely indistinguishable, merging into a single eternal reality.
