Price through use of initial coding, and refining of those codes through axial coding, arrived at four broad themes of Crip Spacetime: Space, Time, Cost, and Accompaniment. These four themes were revised as the specific codes they arose from were revised.

Rich features have to appear frequently and have a strong relationship to the text's overall meaning.
