- authors with Twitter published 2082 papers (average 27.4 per author)
- authors without Twitter published 2084 papers (averaging 16.8 per author)
- no statistical difference was found between these two groups for production of articles
- only 342 articles from the total were mentioned on Twitter, 121 by non-Twitter users and 221 by Twitter-users
- papers from Twitter users receive 33% more Tweets
