In Chapter 7, Poem 9 of the Mokhtar Nameh, Attar exhorts the spiritual seeker to look past physical senses and mental projections. By overcoming these limitations, the seeker can witness the dual divine aspects of Majesty (Jalal) and Beauty (Jamal) in both worlds.

• Surpassing Senses and Fantasy: Sensory awareness (hass) and imagination (khayal) are deemed illusions that veil the truth. Moving beyond them is necessary to achieve the true spiritual state (hal).
• Majesty and Beauty: The ultimate reality is manifested through Majesty and Beauty. The seeker perceives these when their spiritual vision is cleared.
• The Illusion of the Cosmos: All transitory phenomena are described as a mirage (sarab) or illusion. Only the 'Face of Eternity' (wajh al-baqa) possesses true, lasting existence.
