Twitter: a platform for dissemination and discussion of scientific papers in radiation oncology data collection and analysis
- Looked at 178 clinical manuscripts from top 10 impact factor oncology journals, top two radiation-oncology journals, and Brachytherapy all published between January and February of 2018
- Used Scopus and Google Scholar to collect the citations and Altmetric Bookmarklet to collect the number of times each article was tweeted
- Used Chi-square test and Pearson coefficient to determine the correlation between academic citations and Twitter mentions
