Typical Exclusions in Electrical Work Proposals

Electrical proposals should separate work that belongs to other trades or requires special licensing. Wall patching, texturing, and painting after cuts or device installation are finish-trade tasks and should not be included as standard electrical labor. Digging trenches for underground conduit or service runs should be listed separately or assigned to another contractor. If existing wiring insulation may contain asbestos, the removal must be handled by a licensed abatement specialist and kept out of the electrical scope.
