Using Written Exclusions to Set Clear Project Boundaries

A project quote should spell out what is included and what is not. A written exclusion list makes that boundary visible before work begins, so the customer and contractor share the same expectations. If a request falls outside the stated scope, it can be priced separately instead of being absorbed into the original quote. This reduces disputes, protects profit, and helps the customer understand the offer clearly.
