U. S. history deals with the history of the United States since its founding, as well as all the events that led to the founding of the United States. The beginnings of U. S. history can be traced back to the arrival of the first Native Americans in ~15000 B. C. The arrival of Christoper Columbus in 1492 A. D. led to permanent European colonization of the Americas.
