UK GDP Growth and Real Oil Prices (1950–2022) [Figure 4.22]

Figure 4.22 is a time-series graph plotting the UK's annual GDP growth rate and real oil prices from 1950 to 2022. The chart clearly illustrates the two major recessions experienced by the UK during the 1970s, which occurred in the aftermath of the significant oil price shocks of 1973–1974 and 1979–1980.
