Composition and Ownership of National Wealth

National wealth consists of an economy's productive assets, such as land and capital goods. In aggregate, this wealth is owned by households and the government. While firms may hold direct title to assets, households are the ultimate owners of firms through financial instruments like shares, making them the primary owners of aggregate wealth.
