Unconditioned Stimulus in Stingray Conditioning

In the classical conditioning of southern stingrays at Stingray City, the unconditioned stimulus is the fish and conch that people cleaned and threw into the water. About 40 years ago, people began cleaning fish and conch at a sandbar near a barrier reef, which acted as an unconditioned stimulus that naturally caused the stingrays to swim in and eat.
