U.S. Child Mental Health Treatment Rates by Disorder (Ages 8–15)

According to data from the National Institute of Mental Health, the percentage of U.S. children aged 8–15 receiving mental health treatment varies by disorder. Approximately 32% of children with anxiety disorders receive treatment. The rate is higher for other conditions, with about 42% for mood disorders, 46% for conduct disorder, and 48% for ADHD. The overall treatment rate for a child with any diagnosed disorder in this age group is around 50%.
