Types of Theism

The belief that only one god or deity exists.

Monotheism

The belief that there is more than one god or deity; usually belief in a specific pantheon of gods or deities.

Polytheism

Pantheism and Panentheism

The belief is based on observable features of the natural world with a singular god that exists but does not intervene, and simply watches the subjects of its creation.

*Some classical deism did believe in divine intervention.

Deism

The belief that whether or not divinity is also external, it is inherently within, allowing one to become godlike in their own right.
