Vasopressin

Also known as Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH) or Arginine Vasopressin (AVP), it is a neuroendocrine hormone/ neuropeptide which is produced in the hypothalamus and upon release, travels to the pituitary, post which it is released in the anterior pituitary for general circulation.

It has various functions, mainly water reabsorption in the kidneys and regulation of social behavior.
