Limited Generalizability of Clinical/Case Studies

A significant limitation of clinical or case studies is the difficulty in generalizing their findings to the wider population. This weakness stems from the method's tendency to focus on individuals with rare or unique characteristics, who are not representative of the average person. Consequently, while these studies provide a wealth of detailed information, the specificity of the cases restricts the applicability of the conclusions to society as a whole.
