Concept
Accommodations for people with disabilities in the Fair Housing Act
There must be reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities, for which the owner/landlord cannot refuse. This includes changes in rules, policies, practices, and services. If the housing unit is a multifamily dwelling, changes must be made that will make the building accessible and usable. 42 U.S.C. §§ 3604(3)(A)-(3)(B) (2018)
