Addition of Polynomial Functions

Just as polynomials can be added, polynomial functions can also be combined through addition. For any two polynomial functions f(x)f(x) and g(x)g(x), their sum is defined by the mathematical operation: (f+g)(x)=f(x)+g(x)(f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x). To find the sum of two polynomial functions, substitute their defining polynomial expressions into this equation and then simplify by combining the like terms.
