Developmental Delays and Seeking Professional Advice
A developmental delay is indicated when a child does not achieve a milestone within the expected age range, such as a baby not holding their head up by 4 months. The presence of delays across several milestones is a significant reason for concern. In such situations, it is recommended that the parent or caregiver consult with the child’s pediatrician to discuss these concerns. Additionally, some developmental delays can be identified and addressed through early intervention.
