Adolescents' perspective of dealing with a chronic illness: Not making it their number one priority
Many adolescents expressed that their chronic illness should not become their number one priority in their life. It was important that they did not dwell on their illness. While not ignoring the illness was important too, worrying only when it was necessary or "until the time comes" was identified as the approach to take.
