al-Nasrabadi on the two attributions (nisbatan)

Abu al-Qasim al-Nasrabadi teaches that the human being stands between two attributions (nisbatan):

• Kinship to Adam — when you trace yourself back to Adam, you enter the arenas of desires (shahawat) and the sites of afflictions and slips. This is the attribution that realizes human nature (bashariyya), grounded in the Quranic description of man as unjust and ignorant (Q 33:72, al-Ahzab).
• Kinship to al-Haqq (the Real) — when you trace yourself back to al-Haqq, you enter the stations of unveiling (kashf), proofs (barahin), and protection from sin (isma). This is the attribution that realizes servanthood (ubudiyya).

The saying distills a core anthropology in Hujwiri's Kashf al-Mahjub: the seeker's lower afflictions follow from identifying with created humanity, while the higher stations follow from referring oneself to the Real.
