Cases of domestic violence have increased by 8.1% from the beginning of the stay at  home orders in the United States until now. Considering the lockdown has trapped many domestic violence with their abusers, it was predicted that the amount of domestic violence would increase in social isolation. This along with the increase in unemployment, financial insecurity,  and stress on the male population has driven a majority of domestic violence cases prevalent during the lockdown.

A teenager and their parent get into a heated argument about household chores. The argument escalates, and the parent, frustrated, grabs the teenager's arm tightly to prevent them from walking away, leaving a visible red mark.
