Short Answer

Analyzing Incentives in a Group Project

Two groups of students are tasked with a collaborative project where the final grade is shared equally among all members. In Group A, there is no mechanism to monitor individual contributions. In Group B, after the project is submitted, members anonymously rate each other's effort, and these ratings are made public to the entire class. Based on principles of how rules shape behavior, predict which group is likely to produce a higher-quality project and explain the key difference in the 'rules of the game' that leads to this outcome.
