Body Image and Self-Esteem Challenges

Women with disabilities often struggle with body image and self-esteem. They may feel betrayed by their own bodies, which need constant care from others. This can lead to feelings of sadness and disconnection. The pressure to be accepted can make them feel even more inadequate. Many disabled women might think that their disabilities are personal failures. This belief can push them to take extreme steps to hide or improve their appearance.
