Concept
Empowerment Through Inclusive Drama
Inclusive drama is a strong tool for helping disabled women express themselves and gain confidence. Through theater participation, these women move from feeling self-doubt to acceptance and affirmation. The Beijing Enable Sister Center includes stories about disabilities in regular scripts, challenging common stereotypes. Participants not only become more aware of their identities but also encourage others to join the process. This method helps people with disabilities connect with others in their community. It promotes a sense of belonging and helps to break down misconceptions and prejudice.
