Mitigating Misinformation Through 1Cademy's Acceptance Threshold

In 1Cademy, the acceptance threshold mitigates misinformation by requiring greater community consensus for changes to highly visible, popular nodes. Proposals on nodes with 2\leq 2 net votes (upvotes minus downvotes) are implemented immediately. However, proposals on popular nodes remain pending until they receive at least half of the target node's net votes. This popularity-dependent mechanism prevents users from easily altering established content, protecting hot topics from misinformation while allowing rapid knowledge generation on newer nodes.
