Classification of Countries by Economic Takeoff and Wealth

Countries can be categorized based on the timing of their economic growth, which correlates with their current wealth. Nations that industrialized before 1900, like Britain, Japan, and Italy, are now affluent and represented by the 'skyscrapers' in modern income distribution charts. In contrast, countries that experienced economic takeoff more recently or not at all constitute the lower-income 'flatlands'.
